Manual Upgrade/Rollback Process

The manual upgrade and rollback process of IguanaX is very straightforward - it only requires swapping out the binary. You may find that you'd like to upgrade or rollback your IguanaX to a specific version, in which case, a manual upgrade/rollback is needed.

If you are rolling back from IguanaX 10.1.114 or higher to 10.1.113 or lower, then you must remove the logs prior to the upgrade/rollback. The logs in 10.1.114 use a new logs format and are not backwards compatible. The default logs location is here: Log Directory.

Here's the process:

STEP 1: Stop all components

You can stop the components using bulk actions or stop components individually, one at a time.

STEP 2: Stop the Iguana service

See link for stopping the IguanaX service for your operating system: Stopping and Starting Iguana.

STEP 3: Make a backup of the working directory (Optional, but strongly recommended)

See link for instructions on backing up Iguana's working directory: Backing up Iguana.

STEP 4: Download the IguanaX binary

Download the IguanaX binary for your operating system and the correct version from this link: https://downloads.interfaceware.com/.

STEP 5: Backup and remove the binary that is currently in place

Make a backup of the binary and remove it from the application directory. The default application directory for your operating system can be found here: Application Directory.

STEP 6: Replace the binary

Replace the old binary with the new one you have just downloaded and ensure it has the same exact name as the previous binary.

STEP 7: Start the IguanaX service and verify through the Dashboard

After starting the IguanaX service, you should check your components to see if any need to be restarted.

If component's do not have the #autostart tag, you'll need to restart them.
